Naw, Birns and Sawyer has always been more of a film
rental company. The Companies that push HD are the companies that rent video cameras for corporate videos and local commercials.

They have been chomping at the bit to overtake film for the last 2 decades. Anytime there is a digital "breakthrough", they announce that the breakthrough will surpass film.

This event seems different.

[Mike Buckles]

I hope they don't push HD 24fps video as a viable alternative to film...and as an aside, although i'm not sure, I don't remember seeing any shot-on-video films winning any academy awards this year...!

[Alex]

Where's John Longnecker when you need him?

This could be a chance for some brave Super-8 soul to get a booth!

[Mike Buckles]

glad to hear they are "pro-film!"

[Alex]

Just thought I'd bump this.

sounds like fun, I wonder if they'll repeat this in Omaha Nebr the next month?

[Alex]

LOL.

Lately I've been posting about things that are going on in LA, not for any reason other than I've noticed the events and thought to post info about them.

But if I had the time to go to these events, I'd probably rather be filming.
